Quaker’s Best Oatmeal Cookies

Preheat oven to 375◦

1 1/4 C. butter 1 1/2 C. flour 3 C. uncooked rolled oats options 1-2 C.
3/4 C. packed brown sugar 1 tsp. baking soda raisins
1/2 C. sugar 1 tsp. salt (optional) nuts
1 egg 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional) chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.

Combine II together then add to butter mixture.

Stir in oats then any optional ingredients

Drop spoonfuls unto ungreased cookie sheet or put into 13 X 9 pan for bar cookies.

Bake 8-9 minutes for chewy cookies, 10-11 minutes for crispy cookies, 25 minutes for bar cookies.

Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet
