Preheat oven to 350◦
1/4 C. Melted Butter, melted margarine or oil
1 C. Brown sugar
3/4 C. Flour
1 tsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 C. Chopped walnuts
Blend oil and sugar.
Stir in egg.
Mix dry ingredients and blend in to egg mixture.
Mix in vanilla and optional walnuts.
Spread in 8x8x2 pan.
Bake 25 minutes.
Cut into squares while warm
other options add 1/2 C. Cocunut or Chocolate Chips or Heath bar toffee chips.
Top with cocunut, melted chips, nuts, etc.
