Cherry Coconut Easter Eggs

3 med potatoes
6 lbs. 10X sugar
1 16 oz. jar maraschino cherries
(drained; reserve liquid)
1/2 lb. unsweetened coconut
10 oz. pecan
1/4 C. real butter
unsweetened dark chocolate

Boil potatoes until well done, mash & cool

Add ingredients to potatoes including about 2 – 4 T. reserved maraschino cherry liquid (for color)
Work with hands to form stiff dough (add more 10X if sticky)

Dip small eggs in chocolate, Brush chocolate on large eggs

Put on waxed paper overnight before decorating
